"I want to thank Gullivercorp for the basement remodeling project you completed for me. You and your crew did an outstanding job in transforming my unfinished basement into useful living space. I could have not been more pleased with the outcome.
Every aspect of the project was completed to my satisfaction. We started off with the usual first meeting where you took time to understand my needs. Once we agreed upon the plan we worked out the schedule and budget. Im very thankful for our regular meetings to ensure the project was proceeding to both our expectations.
Now that it is completed I have an additional floor of living space. The finished area is great for guests, play room, pool table and is money well spent. In the future when I need additional work done around my home I will be calling you. Once again thanks."
"My husband and I hired John Gulliver to renovate a bathroom in our home in Wellesley. He and his team did a terrific job! The workmanship was top-notch, the job was completed on schedule and within budget. As with any home-improvement project on an old house, ours posed a couple of big remodeling challenges, but John had stylish solutions for every problem! We are delighted to recommend him highly."

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Marlon Davis and I am writing this letter on behalf of John Gulliver, in reference to the 203k-renovation project he recently completed on our home, located at 31 Heath Street in Somerville, MA. John is well versed in the 203k process from start to finish and explains details thoroughly, while keeping you abreast of your duties and responsibilities as well.
Given that there are always unexpected challenges that arise when conducting any home renovation project, John strives to keep you informed of any changes in the scope of work, whether they are structural in nature and are “outside of his control” or simply to provide suggestions on efficient ways to address certain issues. His patience and willingness to explain granular details were greatly appreciated and in fact, assisted our “learning curve” when it came to home renovations and improvements.
In addition, John was always easy to reach throughout the entire process and readily available to answer any questions about the project itself or to discuss ideas and suggestions about ways to improve upon your “vision” for your home. He works with a team of professionals who take the utmost care and consideration when moving about your home and should anything be damaged, misplaced, or completed incorrectly during the renovation, the situation will be remedied immediately, without question or incident.
In closing, I would highly recommend Gulliver General Contracting, Inc. without reservations. I will also consider using his knowledge, expertise, and quality services again with additional home improvement projects. Should you or someone from your office wish to speak to me directly about this letter, I can be reached at (857) 829-8548 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To Whom It May Concern:
It has been a privilege to have John Gulliver as my general contractor for 2 major repair/renovation projects in my home in the past 12 – 14 months. The first was last summer (2013) when I hired him to re-do my kitchen; my home was built in 1959 and the kitchen definitely showed its age. Although my budget did not allow for replacing the cabinets, John came in and not only made major improvements, he also made valuable recommendations as to the upgrades that I ultimately selected. His precision and attention to detail and style made the entire job a pleasure to observe -- every day when I would come home from work, any mess caused by the project that day had been cleaned up so that I could use the space as much as possible. In spite of the fact that I kept my original cabinets (although they were refinished), the final outcome was a kitchen that looks amazingly modern – new granite countertop, new cooktop with a new microwave over (which involved John cutting a cabinet overhead to stick to code, and the result is lovely), new flooring, new backsplash, new paint, new light fixtures, etc. I have heard all my life how disruptive it is to have a kitchen renovated but John got the job finished in a very timely fashion and the result is beautiful. In addition, I have had contractors do work in my house previously and they would disappear for days at a time. Any wait time with this project was minimal, either because we were waiting for parts/appliances, etc. to arrive, or because we had to wait for things like floor adhesive to set or walls to dry and I was always told when they would be back. The work crew, including John, were friendly, neat, and punctual and they did beautiful work.
In addition to my kitchen renovation, I asked John to come back earlier this summer to do some external repairs to my house. John took the time early on a Saturday morning to walk around the house with me and look at everything that I was concerned about, making recommendations and explaining what and how he would do the repairs. The work was started within a few short weeks (less than a month) and was completed in a timely fashion, again to a level of perfection and attention to detail that I have found to be rare in my experience.
I would recommend John for any job, large or small, in the future and feel certain that I will be seeing more of him in the future.
To whom it may concern,
This is a letter of recommendation for John Gulliver, owner of Gulliver Contracting.
My name is Kim Enwright. I purchased a home at 22 Pine rd, Westford, Massachusetts. I took a rehab loan in order to have work done on the house, including new roof, new siding, etc. I hired John Gulliver who is the owner of Gulliver Contracting to do this work for me.
The work was completed on time and my residence looks like a new home. The work that was done was excellent and I would recommend this company to anyone who is doing this type of work.
Recommendation for John Gulliver/Gulliver Contracting
To whom it may concern:
My husband, John Sprague, and I highly recommend John Gulliver and Gulliver Contracting. We originally hired John to do a gut renovation of two bathrooms, build two closets, and coordinate with our kitchen contractor to complete electrical, plumbing, tile, wood floor, and paint. They coordinated seamlessly, always flexible. Unforeseen issues did arise, we discussed alternatives and John's recommendations, and decided on a resolution.
When we put that house on the market, we hired John to replace the roof, repair/replace trim boards, and other repairs to prepare for sale. Their work helped our home sell in 10 days in fall 2013.
They have just completed a gut renovation of our kitchen in our condo in Medfield and updates to the bathrooms. And we hired them for repairs to our 1944 “beach” home in Marion – re-shingle house, repair outside boards and trims, repair structural problems found in the pre-sale inspection, replace the bulkhead, and inside, new doors, electrical updates, etc.
We trust John and his team with any of our home repairs and renovations. They are thorough, reliable, friendly, a pleasure to work with and easy to have in our home. Their work was of the highest standards & finest craftsmanship. John’s subcontractors were all great to work with as well.
We were lucky enough to have John referred to us and are thoroughly confident and happy to recommend him to others.

John Gulliver and his employees have continually held themselves to a very high standard in terms of their timeliness, keeping to my budget (which I try to change often!), and their quality of work. In addition, they have been nothing but professional and a pleasure to work with.
